Basic knowledge you need to know about UV printers
UV printers have grown fashionable since their introduction to the market. These are some basic information that you need to know before you invest a uv led printer for your business.
1. What is UV printing?
UV printing is on the rise. It has rapidly become an essential tool for many print shops. Sign makers, graphic designers, and advertising agencies alike have found its abilities perfect for custom projects.
UV printing is a unique method of digital printing utilising ultraviolet (UV) light to dry or cure ink, adhesives or coatings almost as soon as it’s hit the paper, or aluminium, foam board or acrylic - in fact, as long as it fits in the printer, the technique can be used to print on almost anything.
2.What is UV flatbed printer?
Flatbed digital printers usually use UV curable inks made of acrylic monomers that are then exposed to strong UV-light to cure, or polymerize them. This process allows for printing on a wide variety of surfaces such as wood or canvas, carpet, tile, and even glass.

3.How many types of UV printers are there?

Flatbed UV Printer
Flatbed UV printers are characterized by their flat surface, upon which material is placed to be printed. They are best suited for printing on papers, cards, envelopes, and plaques. You can also use flexible materials like cloth and canvas.
Roll to Roll UV Printer
Roll-to-roll printers avoid forming smudges or footprints through the use of wide-sized rollers. Their advanced technology gives them an ergonomic structure. Roll-to-roll UV printers are tailored for flexible materials like fabric, canvas, and stickers.
Rotary UV Printing
Rotary UV printers are specifically engineered with technology to work with cylindrical shapes.
4.What are the main components of a UV printer?
Printheads. The print heads are directly responsible for determining the quality of the image. They have numerous tiny nozzles that systematically form your image by dropping ink.
Motors. Motors power the belt to move the carriage from one section to the other during printing. Many UV printers incorporate a premium servo motor and a rack-and-pinion drive system for precise movement and printing.
Sensors. UV printers come with sensors in order to detect and control their operating status. Sensors at different machine points serve different purposes. For instance, there’s the carriage sensor, ink cartridge sensor, height sensor, and so on.
Curing System. The curing system uses UV LED lamps to dry the ink drops. This is the component that separates UV Printers from traditional printing devices.
5. How does UV printing work?
UV printing is a form of digital printing that uses ultra-violet lights to dry or cure ink as it is printed. As the UV printer distributes ink on the surface of a material , specially designed UV Lamp lights follow close behind, curing or drying the ink instantly.
6. What is UV curable ink?
About UV-curable Ink. ... UV curable inks offer instant drying (curing) on a wide range of substrates from metals, glass, and ceramics to flexible packaging, thin-gauge polymeric films, and more. UV curable inks also offer excellent print quality, adhesion, scratch resistance, light fastness and color density.
7. What is Spot UV printing?
As the name suggests, a Spot UV coating or "varnish" is applied to chosen spots(areas), of a printed card. This has the affect of highlighting and drawing attention to that part of the design, but it also provides the additional visual stimulus of having varied textures on a single printed surface.
8. How does UV light curing work?
In a matter of seconds, the inks, coatings or adhesives instantly harden. In this range, the light has many important uses ranging from water purification, semiconductor lithography as well as adhesive curing - which is how it links with UV LED printing as the light instantly hardens the inks, coatings and adhesives.
9. What is UV curing resin?
UV-curing resins are materials that are polymerized and cured in a short time by the energy radiated from ultraviolet irradiation devices. These are especially used as industrial materials for sealing, bonding, and coating.

10.How can I protect my paintings from the sun?

Avoid or limit direct sunlight.
Know when to frame with acrylic plexiglass, not glass.
Pay attention to humidity.
Watch your hands.
Keep your glass or acrylics squeaky clean.
Dust—don't clean—your paintings.
Don't leave your art in a tube.
Keep your stored artwork separated.
11. What is a UV printer used for?
UV printing is a form of digital printing that uses ultra-violet lights to dry or cure ink as it is printed. As the printer distributes ink on the surface of a material (called a "substrate"), specially designed UV lights follow close behind, curing - or drying - the ink instantly.
