How to solve the problem of UV printing varnish?

If the UV printing process wants to have a high-end output feeling, it must be inseparable from the treatment of varnish. However, sometimes in the printing process, the varnish will also have printing problems. So, what are the main problems? How to solve it? With this question, let's take a look at the following.

1. The varnish is not completely dried and cured, and there will be traces when touched by hand.
This is a very common problem in UV printing, and the main reason for this problem is that the UV intensity of the LED curing lamp is not enough, or the LED curing lamp is broken, aging, or malfunctioning. In addition, it may also be because of UV varnish. Improper storage of the varnish has changed its properties. In addition, if the machine prints too fast, or the substrate is taken out before printing, the varnish will not dry completely.
Solution: If there is a problem with the LED curing light, it should be repaired or replaced in time. In addition, to ensure that the power of the LED curing light is sufficient, you can consult the manufacturer of the machine for details on how much power is required.

2. The residual odor of the varnish is large.
If the residual odor of the varnish after UV printing is relatively large, it is also caused by the incomplete drying of the varnish, the incomplete curing of the LED curing lamp, or the use of inferior varnish.
Solution: To ensure that the curing and drying of the varnish must be thorough, and do not use inferior varnish, in addition, pay attention to ventilation in the place where the UV-printed samples are stored.

3. The adhesion of varnish is not good.
If the printed varnish layer is easy to fall off and the adhesion is not good, it may be because the quality of the varnish used is not good and the adhesion is poor; or because the LED curing lamp has problems drying the varnish; The surface of the ink is crystallized; or the UV ink is improperly selected, and the UV hard ink is used in the place where the UV soft ink is used, which makes the varnish layer easy to fall off.
Solution: Before printing, consider the appropriate printing conditions of the varnish, and choose the appropriate UV ink according to the characteristics of the substrate. In addition, do not use inferior varnish, and pay attention to the maintenance of LED curing lamps.

4. The surface of the substrate cannot be printed with varnish.
The main reason for this is because the viscosity of the varnish is low, or the varnish coating is too thin; or because the ink surface of the substrate is crystallized; or the UV ink is of poor quality and contains too much varnish.
Solution: UV varnish coating can be printed thicker, do not use inferior varnish and inferior UV ink.
