Adhesive materials are diverse, common adhesive materials, car stickers, single transparent, laminating film and other materials containing glue are included. Today we will talk about
car stickers and back glue in detail. What is the difference between the two?
1 What is a car sticker?
The structure includes three parts: PVC functional layer, viscose layer and liner. According to the different production and processing technology of PVC film, the film can be divided into casting grade film and calender film.
The material of the car sticker is mainly PVC outdoor special adhesive sticker that can adapt to outdoor conditions, which is more wear-resistant than ordinary advertising-grade materials.
With the decline in the price of car stickers, many car stickers have changed their uses, such as for displaying KT panels.
2.What is adhesive?
According to the coating, it is suitable for three kinds of ink printing: eco-solvent ink, pigment ink and dye ink.
The adhesive PP printed with eco-solvent ink is often called outdoor adhesive or oily adhesive, which can be used outdoors without laminating;
Pigment ink printing is called waterproof adhesive on the market, and it can only be used indoors without lamination;
Dye ink printing is water-based adhesive, not waterproof, and the coating melts when it meets with water, so it must be covered for indoor use.
Adhesive PP synthetic paper is divided into four components:
1.coating;
2.PP substrate, the thickness varies from 65 microns to 240 microns;
3.glue. There are two types on the market, one is water glue and the other is oil glue; the current market is mainly oil glue;
4.release PET, which is to tear off the unused layer of transparent film, ranging from 12 microns to 50 microns.
3.Difference between car sticker and adhesive
1.The difference between the material itself:
The removable adhesive has a coating on the surface, which will stick to water; there is no coating on the surface of the car sticker.
2.Difference from the screen printing method
Removable adhesives are for indoor pictures, using water-based inks; car stickers are usually printed with eco-solvent inks outside the user.
3.Application difference:
Removable adhesive is mainly used indoors. It is attached to the surface of glass, acrylic, fireproof board, aluminum-plastic board, wood board, etc. It will not damage the surface of the advertising floor and facilitate the removal of advertisements in the future without leaving residue.
The car sticker has good weather resistance and is usually removable. However, because the accuracy of inkjet painting is not up to the accuracy of indoor pictures, it is rarely used indoors.
